Trillion Appoints Steve McGee Chief Financial Officer
AUSTIN, TEXAS – August 31, 2007 –– Trillion, the leading provider of broadband Wide Area Network and VoIP services to the education market, announced today it has appointed Steve McGee as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. McGee brings a wealth of financial and operating expertise from Venture-backed technology companies, a Fortune 500 company and a “Big 6” CPA firm. Prior to his appointment at Trillion, Steve served as a CFO consultant for various companies in the high-tech manufacturing sector, successfully raising more than $65M in equity financing and developing strategic growth plans including M&A opportunities. Previously, Steve served as CFO of SAMBA, an information services company serving risk management markets. Before SAMBA, Steve was the CFO for Vantum, a Venture-backed video over IP start-up. At Vantum, Steve was responsible for closing $8M in equity investment and establishing working capital banking relationships, as well as managing the company’s contract manufacturer and building the Finance department. Steve also served in various senior management positions at Baker Hughes, including a general manager role for a $20M SBU in a successful turn-around campaign. Steve began his career with Price Waterhouse. Mr. McGee holds a BA from The University of Texas at Austin, completed Masters level courses in accounting and finance at The University of Houston, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
