COPPERAS COVE AND AUSTIN, TEXAS – June 30, 2004 – Trillion and Copperas Cove Independent School District (ISD) announced today the completion of a wireless high speed network for Copperas Cove ISD. The 54 mbps broadband wireless network connects thirteen sites within the district including all elementary, intermediate, junior high and high schools with high-speed Internet. Trillion is also providing an integrated suite of services including firewall, content filtering, DNS and email.
“We were looking for the best solution for our growing bandwidth needs,” commented Ms. Lenann Welter, System Engineer for Copperas Cove Independent School District. “The Trillion network will improve our Internet access allowing all students to participate in a more reliable and scalable network, not previously offered through our T1 network. Students will have improved access to The Virtual High School Program, distance learning programs, additional resources and courseware, benefiting all grade levels.”
“We are pleased to provide Copperas Cove with a robust, cost effective and upgradeable solution to meet their critical distance learning and other communications needs now and for the future,” said Bear Poth, President and CEO of Trillion.
