Construction Technician
Trillion is looking for highly motivated self starters to join our team as Wide Area Network Construction Technicians. Traveling 80 to 90 percent of the time throughout the US, WAN Construction Technicians assist with initial engineering and ultimately help oversee construction of hybrid wireless and fiber networks for school districts.
A Construction Technician:
- Performs or assists with installations, maintenance and site surveys.
- Performs or assists with quality inspections.
- Performs network testing which includes electrical, RF, optics and data.
- Procures and completes required documentation and data records.
- Assists and provides support to the Operations team as needed.
- Develops and maintains a positive rapport with Trillion’s customers
- Interacts and presents in a professional manner to include appearance and demeanor.
- Overnight travel to job locations as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Requirements
- Minimum of two years installation experience in the wireless or telecommunication industries
- Must be able to climb mono poles and towers to heights upwards of 140ft
- Must be able to certify in pole climbing and rescue safety
- Knowledge of RF technology to include microwave radio transmissions
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to execute in a team atmosphere
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straight forward manner
- Active driver’s license and good driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Education
- High School Diploma.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry tools, equipment up to 60 lbs.
- Work in inclement weather conditions
- Work at heights on ladders, towers, mono-poles, man baskets, etc.
- Physical and visual acuity to perform mechanical tasks
- Bend, sit squat, kneel, stretch and stand at different intervals daily
