Wide Area Network (WAN) Senior Project Manager

Trillion is seeking a driven leader who can communicate a vision and motivate others to accomplish goals that continue to make us the leading provider in broadband network services for education.  As Senior Project Manager building Wide Area Networks for our education partners, you will be required to travel throughout the US 80 - 90% of the month managing and overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects from implementation to completion.  The Senior Project Manager also:

  • Provides management and leadership to direct reports, assigned employees and contractors.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project is on schedule and within budget guidelines.
  • Ensures all projects comply with Trillion’s policies and procedures.
  • Provides solutions and recommendations for any construction issues or concerns.
  • Performs assists and verifies quality and network performance testing prior to release of network to Operations.
  • Assists and provides support to the Operations team as needed.
  • Develops and maintains a positive rapport with Trillion’s customers.
  • Completes and submits all reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Actively participates in employee training and development.
  • Interacts and presents in a professional manner to include appearance and demeanor.
  • Able to travel to job locations as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PreferredQualifications, Experience and Requirements

  • 5 years Project Management and Constructionexperience in the Telecommunications industry to include wireless, copper and fiber technologies. Cellular back haul experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, lead, and inspire a highly interdependent team of individual contributors.
  • Knowledge of RF technology to include microwaveradio transmissions
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Experience working from lift and/or boom truck upwards of 140 feet
  • Must be able to climb mono-poles and lattice towers
  • Ability to execute in a team atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of computers and basic networking including use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straight forward manner.
  • Active Drivers License and good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Education

  • High School Diploma

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift and carry tools, equipment up to 60 lbs.
  • Work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Work at heights upwards of 140 ft. on ladders, poles, towers, man baskets, etc.
  • Physical and visual acuity to perform mechanical tasks
  • Bend, sit squat, kneel, stretch and stand at different intervals daily
